I have been distracted from my internal journey and am returning.  My roots run deep in Native American culture and that of Appalachia.   Biologically, my great grandmother was Lenape and Shawnee and married an Irish-German.  However, with my adoption came rural Appalachia and post-depression parents - both of which provided me with a grounding and respect for the earth and natural resources around us.  We grew, raised or hunted for everything we consumed - there were no other options for survival.  Our family hosted numerous foster and emergency placement children while operating a 100 + acre farm.  Throughout the latter years, during my secondary and college education, I connected to my biological, paternal grandfather who remained faithful to his Native American culture.  I invested my free time exploring his world and learning the ways of our ancestors.  Today, I struggle to recall and record all he taught me.  The journey returns.  I also have been certified as a Reiki Master and explore healing arts of the East.  My path seems to compell me to follow a journey into healing-mind, spirit, and body.

 

THE METAL DOG 1910 AND 1970

Metal Dogs have extremely high standards and expect a lot of themselves and of others. They are loyal and hold a strong outlook about the direction they want their life to take. They choose their friends and causes with care, as they do not plan to ever not support these people and things again. Once they have committed themselves, there is little to no turning back. They are bold, unafraid to disagree out loud about anything they feel is unjust or unfair. Metal Dogs are easily stressed if a plan does not go accordingly. They find it difficult to relax when there are things to be done.
