Challenges- the start of new projects and new opportunities. It is good to return to the field and to do something of meaningful purpose. Week one allowed for an investment into personal growth. The journey continues.

The Forgotten
Once a child;
small, in-tuned and able.
Concrete ideals enmesh
with right and wrong.
Gray invades and the mist descends.
Never more the innocence of infancy-
a childhood now disrupted.
Toils of life maintain the pain,
define the mind and destroy the
peace of the soul.
Then to die-alone, in fear, in panic,
in regret, in self loathing, and above all
alone . . . .

I find no greatness in the loss
no sorrow attachment, just
a loss from humankind.
Each soul a contributor,
each needing a place to shine.
Those who mourn may be few,
but those whose loss
may ne're be felt -
are those who lose
the most.
