sometimes life gets in the way

It has been awhile, since I last checked in. Illnesses, completing academic work, family obligations, and most recently the death of my aunt.
My aunt, married to my Father's brother for 49 years before he passed away in 1984, was 90 years old. She raised 8 children, 4 girls and 4 boys. She had buried her husband, 2 children and a granddaughter. My aunt showed amazing strength throughout her life and often allowed me shelter from my own. She will be laid to rest beside Uncle Johnson on Tuesday, finally at peace. It is amazing to have been part of such an amzing life.
